This page is intended to assist our webcam service providers getting setup and running with our system. It also provides help with some of the common problems encountered when using the system.

WEBCAM SERVICE PROVIDER PROFILE
To get started using the Escort4U system, you need to have profile created. This is a manual process so you will provide the information needed by us via email, along with at least one photograph and we will create the profile for you.
JUSTCAMIT SOFTWARE
How to install JustCamIt software
Go to the following web address http://justcamit.com/download.php
Click on Save File (make a note if necessary of which folder on your computer the file is being downloaded to. It should be your default download folder.
Locate the file on your computer it will be called JustCamIt-1.0.0.exe or similar.
Double click on the file to run the installation program.
The software will install in around a minute.
Once the software has installed you can add it to your desktop as a shortcut in order to find it easily when you want to run it.
How to configure the JustCamIt software
Once the software has installed, connect your webcam and launch the program.
Your webcam should be automatically detected and you should see the image you are broadcasting.
The default settings of JustCamIt should be adequate to get started but various aspects can be changed according to your tastes such as colour schemes, audio and webcam settings.
Connecting to the Escort4U webcam system
Click on Login, then Login to Server and use the following details in the pop up box:
Server = production1
Account ID = 224282
Username = provided to you when your webcam account was created
Password = provided to you when your webcam account was created
Click on Log In
JustCamIt will now attempt to connect to the server and will run a series of tests. If the connection is successful you will see a message in the chat window saying "Server Status : Connected To Server, Ready"
You are now connected and will show as 'Online' on the webcam page of Escort4U
If the tests fail it could be your broadband connection isn't fast enough or your webcam isn't compatible for some reason. Make a note of the error message and email us so we can try and find out why it's not working. It could also be that the JustCamIt server is down temporarily. You could try connecting again later.

Conducting webcam chat sessions
Once you show as online on the Escort4U webcam page, viewers can come into your 'Free Chat' room, 'Group Chat' room or 'Private Chat' room at any time. As soon as a viewer enters your free room you will see a message in the chat window that the user has entered. You can now interact with the user via text and of course using your webcam. You can also turn audio on if you prefer to talk rather than type
The user will be allowed to stay in your room in free mode for up to 2 minutes after which time they will be ejected from the room. They will be able to re-enter free mode.
If a user wishes to enter your group or private mode you will see a popup message asking if you wish to enter this mode with them. Once you accept, the user will enter the room and will be paying per second that they are in the room. The background colour of the chat window will change so you can easily see you are in a paid for mode.
You will be able to see how long the user has been in the room and how much money your have accrued.#
Seeing how much you have earned
At any time you can go into Stats to see how much time you have spent in each mode and how much money you have earned after admin fees. You can also see a breakdown of each individual webcam session with each user including how long the user spent in your room and how much money you earned in that session. You access this by clicking on File, then Stats.
Please note the total balance showing will not take into account payments that may have already been made to you as this is a lifetime account balance. You will be sent a monthly statement and remittance advice when payments are released.

Updating you JustCamIt software
New versions of JustCamIt are released periodically. It is always advisable to upgrade to the latest version at your earliest convenience. You will receive an email from us as and when new versions are released advising you to download and install the latest update.
PROBLEMS & DISPUTES
What if you can't connect to the server
On occasions, for whatever reason, the i-Streaming networks server, or the Escort4U server may go down for an indeterminate length of time. We hope these occasions will be few and far between but we can't legislate for when this may happen without warning. For this reason we can't guarantee that this service will be available 100% of the time, although we will always do our best to resolve any issue be they in our control or not as quickly as possible.
Problems with JustCamIt
If a user complains that your webcam feed when using JustCamit is choppy or slow, there are several factors that may affect this. First and foremost you need to have a reliable and fast broadband connection ideally of no less than 2MB. Most internet service providers (ISPs) offer at least this speed nowadays.
Secondly it is advisable to close down any applications you may be using that may slow down your connection or computer whilst using JustCamIt such as instant messaging(chat) programs, online games and any peer-to-peer systems such as Limewire, Rapidshare etc. These could drastically reduce the speed of your connection.
Poor picture quality
If a user complains your webcam picture quality is poor there are a few things you can do to improve things. First and most important ensure you have a decent quality webcam. You should be able to buy a suitable webcam from a well known brand such as Logitech, Creative or Microsoft for around £30. You should be looking for a webcam with a resolution of at least 1.3 mega pixels and 30 frames per second. You can buy webcams with auto focus and zoom etc although these are not essential features.
Secondly ensure the area you are webcamming in is well lit. Ideally the light will be facing you from behind the camera. A further tip to improve the viewers experience is to ensure the background of the area where you are webcamming is free from clutter and colours are fairly neutral. This will help the viewer be able to focus on you and not the rest of your room! A curtain or sheet hung behind you is ideal.
Running other webcam programs alongside JustCamIt
It's not possible to run JustCamIt and another web chat program such as MSN simultaneously. It's also not possible to login to 2 different servers using JustCamIt at the same time (Adultwork and Escort4U for example).
If your webcam business is very busy you may consider using 2 computers and 2 webcams to be able to connect to Escort4U and another webcam chat program simultaneously to increase your earning potential. There are many webcam service providers who do this very effectively.
What if the viewer can't see you at all?
Sometimes the user is unable to view your webcam after they enter your room even though they can chat with you in the text window.
If this happens it's likely to be a problem at the users end. Please refer them to the webpage : http://tbd which will give them advice on how to resolve the issue. In short, it's likely to be due to the version of web browser they are using, possibly the speed of their connection or the specification of their computer.
Unfortunately we are not able to give refunds if users come into your paid for room and can't see you. If they ask about them please refer them to this URL: http://tbd
Disputes
If you have any dispute with the customer either on your side or on the customers side, please contact us via email on info@escort4u.co.uk.
DO's and DON'Ts
Please refrain from leaving your webcam unattended for long periods of time when logged in to the chat system. If the user enters a paid for mode and you're not there, this can lead to complaints and losing customers. If you are likely to be away from your computer for a period of time, simply disconnect from the server and re-connect when you return. You do this by clicking on Logout, then Logoff from Server.
Under no circumstances use your webcam to broadcast a video or pre-recorded show, whether you own the copyright for it or not. If it is found you are doing this you it is likely that your webcam service provider account will be terminated with immediate effect and you will lose any money in your account.
The webcam rooms are moderated at random and if the administrator discovers this practice going on, appropriate action will be taken.
Other obviously things to avoid include having other people (and more specifically children) in the background when you are web camming. This can be very off-putting for viewers.
Also avoid making it obvious you are chatting to someone else (via instant messenger for example) when you are in private mode with a customer. He/she has paid to chat to you specifically so you should respect that and concentrate on one conversation!
Obvious do's include such simple things as looking like you're actually enjoying what you're doing! This definitely enhances the users experience and can lead to repeat business.
